Sunflower Competition at Terlingham Gardens in Hawkinge

On Friday 27th July the Terlingham Gardens residents all came together to host a BBQ, enjoy one of their homemade brews and announce the winner of their sunflower competition.

It was a truly fantastic day with blue skies and the sun shining, infact it was a perfect setting to welcome very special visitors Glyn Hibbert and Sandra Hibbert, the Mayor and Mayoress of Hawkinge, Kent.

With the sausages sizzling away, the homemade brew flowing and the marquee set up in the beautifully manicured gardens, the Mayor and Mayoress spent an afternoon meeting all the residents and their families and hearing just how much they love being part of this thriving community.

It really is a pleasure working here at Terlingham Gardens, all the residents are so happy and just love getting together whether it is for BBQ’s, craft club, beer brewing or walking club. The community is really growing so quickly and there is never a dull moment.
